Black Prime Group

Investing in Value.Building Industries.Creating Legacy.

An emerging South African investment and holding group focused on building, acquiring and developing businesses and assets across essential sectors of the economy.

Who we are

Black Prime Group is an emerging South African investment and holding company. We are building a group whose purpose is to identify, structure and own businesses and assets in sectors the economy cannot do without.

We are at the beginning of that work. What we publish reflects where we actually are — a defined strategy, a clear investment framework, and an active search for the right opportunities and the right partners.

Five strategic pillars

Five sectors. One ownership philosophy.

Each division represents a defined investment focus area — a set of themes we are actively exploring, evaluating and structuring, rather than a portfolio of completed transactions.

Our approach

01

Identify

Identify attractive opportunities across our target sectors, sourced through networks, operators, brokers and direct approaches.

Why these sectors

Focused on essential economic sectors.

Black Prime concentrates on businesses and assets connected to energy, food and agricultural production, property and infrastructure, healthcare, and consumer businesses. These are areas of continuous economic activity where ownership can be tangible and value created over time. We make no claims about market size, growth or returns.

Investment philosophy

Capital deserves patience, structure and honesty.

“Build businesses. Acquire strategic assets. Invest with discipline. Create long-term value.”

Black Prime does not offer guaranteed returns, risk-free opportunities or performance promises. Every opportunity carries risk and is subject to due diligence, financing and regulatory requirements.

Long-term thinking

We evaluate opportunities on the value they can sustain over years, not the impression they create today.

Commercial discipline

Every decision must stand up to commercial logic, evidence and a clear view of how value is created.

Responsible ownership

Ownership carries obligations to employees, partners, communities and regulators — not only to capital.

Strategic partnerships

We prefer to work alongside capable operators, funders and partners whose interests are properly aligned.

Risk awareness

Risks are identified, priced and managed openly. Opportunities that cannot be understood are not pursued.

Operational execution

Value is realised in operations. We support management with structure, discipline and accountability.

Sustainable growth

Growth should be funded prudently and supported by real demand, real cash flow and real capability.

Capital discipline

Capital is allocated selectively, with clear conditions, appropriate structures and defined outcomes.

Investment lifecycle

How an opportunity becomes an owned asset.

Progress through this lifecycle is never automatic. An opportunity may be declined at any stage, and stages may be repeated as new information emerges.

Long-term vision

An African growth vision.

Black Prime begins in South Africa and intends to pursue opportunities more broadly across Africa as the group develops. Select a sector to view its investment themes.
